Facing the reality that many companies use ingredients that are known or suspected to cause harm to our bodies is disheartening and scary. Here at Simply Sage, want to make your journey a little easier and walk with you as you make safe swaps in your home.
Hello! I'm Kari, owner of Simply Sage! I'm a mama to three little boys and a new baby girl and wife to a loving husband.
In 2017, a friend shared a video with me that was talking about body burden. It was the first time I ever gave much thought to what might be in the products I'm using. I decided to start reading into everything that my family was exposed to and I was shocked! Although I wanted to, I couldn't just throw away everything we owned. Instead, I started replacing things slowly. When we ran out of toothpaste, laundry detergent, cleaning products, etc. I started replacing them with safer options. The more labels I read, the more I learned!
I decided to start a "side hustle" that was focused on clean living so I had an excuse to talk about everything I was learning. Friends started asking for product recommendations and I was happy to help! This worked well for a few years but eventually I wanted more! At this point I was using supplements from some of my favorite little shops, I searched high and low for a deodorant that really worked, and was still having to buy some things from retail giants with questionable values. Thats when the idea for Simply Sage was born. I wished I could buy all my favorite things in one place for a reasonable price and with the option for fast, free shipping. I was also getting tired of sifting through all the "green washed" companies and wished there was someone I could trust to do all that for me.
